Celebrating the eleventh magnificent year!

“When you are stuck on the crossroads of life, think what your teacher said and follow that path,” was what Ms. Reva Nair, Director, ESSEL Social Welfare Foundation said while addressing an audience of parents and teachers during the eleventh Annual Day of Deepalaya School Kalkaji Extension on 26th November, 2010.

The day started with young teenage girls dressed in pearl white saris who with their welcome song enchanted the audience at the beginning itself. The students performed with exuberance and chutzpah. From thought- provoking plays, folk dance, choir songs to the adorable presentation by the tiny tots of the school, the Annual Day had everything that could make the parents proud of their children. The main theme of the program
me was a presentation on the various emotions of the human beings. Ms Nair further commented that, “It was a delight to be part of the school on such an occasion. I congratulate all the students and teachers who have come up with such incredible and inspiring performances. Deepalaya has helped spread the light of hope in the society.”

The Principal, Ms. Anita Sawhney elaborated on the achievements of the school in the past one year. She even announced the ‘Best Parent Award’ during the function and encouraged the parents present to take interest in their child’s studies and extra-curricular activities. Adding further to the memorable day, Rtn T.K.Mathew, Chairman, Deepalaya said

, “It has always been a pleasure to come to Deepalaya School, Kalkaji Extension; through such programmes we try to give the students an exposure which is  equivalent to their privileged peers in public schools. We also aim to bring about a positive change in the personality of the child. In our schools, we still focus on positive discrimination of the girl child. I am really proud to witness the enlightening performances by the students on their Annual Day.”

The day definitely had many inspiring and eye- catching moments. The parents were indeed proud of their children after they witnessed their performances. This was quite evident from their smiles. The School celebrated its second Annual Day after its affiliation with CBSE. The focus of the school has always been to promote quality education.
