ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

On 11th February 2010 Annual Sports Day was celebrated. The occasion was graced by Ms. Sudha Parthasarathy (Executive Director, Deepalaya) and Mr. Chackochen (Manager, Deepalaya) and Mrs. Chackochen, who took part in the inaugural race, along with the Principal, Ms Anita Sawhney, to boost the confidence of the students.

“Ae maalik tere bande hum...” echoed in the sports field as the children started the day with with the prayer song seeking strength from the almighty. It was followed by a vibrant Rajasthani dance which was presented by a group of girls from the School, drawing huge applause from the guests.

The sheer sight to remember was the well coordinated March past by the students of all four houses, matching their steps to the beats of the drums.

Children were divided into two groups Senior & Junior. Various flat races like 50 M, 200 M, 400 M, 800 M Races, Relay races, Hurdle race, Long jump, etc.,were held in both the groups. The competition was mainly Inter-House Competition as the children of the school have been divided into four houses. Different houses got the positions as shown below-

The day ended with the prize distribution to the winners.
