CITATION CEREMONY
The Citation Ceremony for Class X was held on 28-2-2011 in the school auditorium. The event was held to give due recognition to the talent of the out-going students and encourage them to hone their talents and flourish in times to come.
The Chief Guest was the Chairman of Deepalya Mr.T.K.Mathew. The programme was a short and simple one. Starting with the Saraswati Vandana followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Head Boy and Head Girl carried two diyas and handed over to the Asst. Head Girl and Asst. Head Boy. The Mission song was sung. Children of Class X were given titles and mementos were handed over to them by our Principal Madam and Mr.Mathew.
The Head Boy and Girl gave a short thank you speech. A surprise dance was performed by Class IX students. Refreshment was served.
While addressing the out-going students, Ms. Anita Sawhney, Principal, Deepalaya School, Kalkaji Extension said, “the fledglings on the nest are ready to fly in the air current of Deepalaya and soar up to reach the horizon. Today I feel that the uncut diamonds are ready to shine and glow in the world. My mind is clouded with both jubilant and sad moments to bid these students farewell. Your journey into the world starts now. The training which you attained in Deepalaya will stand by you when you feel the stress and strain of life. Life is a series of experience and each experience help us to test our strengths. Deepalaya has given you the experience of integrity. Therefore, spread the message of love and brotherhood.”
Mr.T.K.Mathew congratulated teachers and the students on the happy occasion of Citation Ceremony. He urged the students to be a good human being, respect the elders and spread the message of goodness. The world can be conquered only with love and respect. The students should not forget that self confidence is another attribute which helps to succeed in life. To reach the goals of life hard work, strong determination and politeness are very essential.
